The Challenger Baseball program is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization open to all special-needs children and young adults, allowing them to play baseball with their friends and peers in a non-competitive environment. Our game rules are modified so every player has the chance to hit, field, and proceed around the bases. Our program allows for the players to have fun, while playing team sports just like their siblings. Buddies are also on the field during the games to provide any help that players need.
Your sponsorship money allows us to provide our participants with uniforms, equipment, trophies, and both team and individual photos. There is also an Opening Day celebration, a trip to the Challenger Festival in Fort Myers, Florida, a year-end picnic, a day/night at a Miami Marlins baseball game, and a skills clinic with various Marlins players, all at no cost to the families involved in our program. Last year, there were over 200 players throughout Broward County, who participated in the Challenger program. Our organization is run entirely on a volunteer basis meaning that 100% of your funding goes directly to our participants.
As an official Challenger sponsor, your name (or corporate name) will be printed on the backs of our uniform shirts. Additionally, you will receive a special 8 x 10 plaque, which includes a picture of our teams, players, and coaches. We also hope you will join us at our end-of-season picnic, at which time you will be introduced to all of our families. You (or your company) will also be listed on our website, thanking you and our other sponsors. We ask all of our sponsors for a $300 minimum donation to receive all these benefits.
